  How to make Chilly Paneer



When I serve chilly paneer to my family they say Wooooow !!! And it always feel good when someone appreciates your dish. As a matter of fact if someone praises my dish, it boosts my morale multiple times and I cook with more passion and rigour.  Today I am going to tell you how to make chilly paneer at home. Chilly paneer is different and very tasty dish.  I hope all of my readers will like yummy and spicy chilly paneer. I would love to hear your feedback and review comments about the taste after you cook it.  Capsicum (Green pepper) has tangy taste and adds good flavor to the dish. The recipe is also called as Indo chinese recipe. In fact there are different ways to make chilly paneer. 

  1. Dry dish in Chinese style served as snacks
  2. Gravy dish in Chinese style
  3. Dry dish in Indian style (described here) 
In India Green pepper is mainly called as Capsicum and easily available in the vegetable market in all the seasons.

Ingredients to make chilly paneer:

  • 200 grams Paneer
  • 1-Green Capsicum (Shimla Mirch), sliced lengthwise
  • Oil 2-3 tbsp
  • Garlic 3-4 flakes - crushed
  • Green chillies 2-3
  • Onion 1 big ,sliced lengthwise
  • Soya sauce 2-3 tsp
  • Tomato sauce 1 tbsp
  • Chilly sauce 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
Method to make Chilly Paneer:

Cut the paneer into small cubes. Heat oil in a pan on low flame, add paneer cubes and fry to a light golden color. Take out the paneer cubes and keep aside. Now add garlic and green chilly in same oil,, fry for a minute. Add onion and stir lightly. Onion should become little crunchy, add capsicum (Green Pepper / Shimla mirch) and stir for a minute. Add black pepper, salt, garam masala and mix in. Add chilly sauce, tomato sauce, soya sauce and mix. Stir for few minutes. Finally add fried paneer cubes to the mixture. Yummy chilly paneer is ready to serve at home.
